Voir Technology has launched the SK0 and SK1, which are 52% smaller and compatible with small, thin-walled housings, primarily used in smart security systems, telecommunications equipment, lighting, and other electronic products.

Driven by considerations of energy and material costs, today’s smart security systems, telecommunications equipment, lighting, and other electronic products are becoming increasingly simplified and thinner as technology advances.

Today, when designing thin-walled, miniaturized enclosures for protection, in addition to meeting increasingly stringent protection requirements, special attention must also be paid to optimizing the utilization of both internal and external space. For example: ① the main body of the protective components on the exterior should be designed to resist impact damage; ② the interior of the enclosure should be compact, ensuring that the “legs” of the protective components are not excessively long.

The wire diameter is smaller (only 14.3 mm), making it easy to integrate into compact enclosures with limited external space.

After installation, the height is low—only 3.95 mm—enhancing the aesthetic appeal and making it suitable for compact spaces, while also reducing the risk of damage caused by mechanical impact or steam jets.

The “leg” is relatively short (only 1.45 mm), which minimizes the ingress of water‑proof and breathable materials into the enclosure, thereby enhancing component‑layout flexibility and facilitating heat dissipation to the exterior of the housing.
