Most millimeter-wave radar products are mounted outside the vehicle cabin and are subjected to harsh environmental conditions such as wind and rain over extended periods. Consequently, these radars must exhibit exceptional dust‑proof and water‑proof performance. Voir®’s upgraded millimeter-wave radar protection solution delivers a more reliable safeguard that ensures waterproofing, dust resistance, breathability, and balanced internal–external pressure.

I. Voir® Fluoropolymer Backing–Type Waterproof and Breathable Solution
This solution employs a self-developed fluoropolymer‑based waterproof and dustproof adhesive, which ensures superior and more reliable bonding of the e‑PTFE material to the housing surface. The adhesive delivers high bond strength, achieving an IPX9K waterproof rating, and has passed automotive‑grade dual 85 reliability testing. While balancing the internal and external air pressure within the radar sensor cavity, it also enhances the seal’s reliability and service life. To date, 2.4 million units of the membrane material have been shipped.

II. Voir® Welded Waterproof and Breathable Solution
This solution directly welds the breathable membrane material onto the millimeter-wave radar product housing, maintaining internal–external balance and facilitating seamless integration with the radar housing’s design and molding. It is cost-effective, features a simple and convenient manufacturing process, reduces design costs, and is well-suited for lean production and processing. Voir Technology provides welding technology support; to date, 2 million pieces of the membrane material have been shipped.

III. Voir® Millimeter-Wave Radar Module Solution
Voir can provide component integration solutions, supplying components directly. Voir designs the injection-molded housing and welds the membrane materials, while automating production, assembly, and testing to reduce intermediate steps, shorten the delivery cycle, and lower costs.
