August 9, 2022, Shenzhen — Voir’s DEHUM anti-fog technology solution has been adopted by a renowned security IoT company for its facial recognition system, preventing fogging on the display window under operating conditions and ensuring optimal imaging performance.

The imaging system perceives the external world through a window, but under operating conditions, the window is prone to fogging and condensation, which can impair imaging. Voir has introduced a high-transmittance heating (DEHUM-DEF) solution for window protection, which maintains high optical transmittance while heating to remove surface moisture, fog, and condensation, with a transmittance exceeding 86%.

The traditional hydrophilic‑film glass solution requires that the sealed cavity remain free of dust and volatile substances; while its base cost is low, the expense of treating the cavity to accommodate the hydrophilic film is several times higher. Voir’s DEHUM‑DEF solution offers significant advantages in defogging performance and overall operating costs, and has already been adopted by numerous leading facial‑recognition manufacturers.
