Voir Hydrogen invested 18 million to build an in-house proton exchange membrane base film production line.

Release time:2022-09-09

Voir Hydrogen announced that, by December 30, 2022, it will complete the construction of a mass-production line for proton exchange membrane base films in Pingshan, Shenzhen, with a total investment of 18 million.
Voir’s Hydrogen Energy Business Unit’s Director of Materials, General Manager Meng, stated: “The newly commissioned production line is primarily focused on achieving mass production of proton exchange membrane base films; the enhanced base film builds upon our existing expertise in expanded polytetrafluoroethylene technology to increase strength and reduce thickness.”

As one of the seven major product lines—namely, humidifiers, liquid–gas separators, proton exchange membrane base films, humidity controllers, deionizers, waterproof/oil‑resistant/explosion‑proof pressure balancers, and particulate filters—the commissioning of these production lines has significantly advanced the overall facility layout.
Voir Hydrogen will participate in the 2022 (FCVC) Shanghai International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Vehicle Technology Conference & Exhibition. Booth A25-2; welcome to visit from October 26–28, 2022.

On e-PTFE and the Base Membrane of Proton Exchange Membranes

e-PTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) is a multi-microporous material with diverse properties, created by stretching a linear polymer composed of fluorine and carbon molecules. Enhanced e-PTFE boasts high mechanical strength, excellent chemical stability, environmental neutrality, and stable permeability—these are the fundamental reasons why PEMs choose e-PTFE as their base material. Since its establishment in 2009, Voir Technology has been dedicated to the R&D and component application sales of e-PTFE. As early as 2014, it had already built South China’s first expanded polytetrafluoroethylene production line.
