On March 16, 2020, Voir Technology launched the Voir®Dehum™ dehumidification and humidity-control protection solution, addressing the issue of moisture condensation inside new-energy vehicle battery PACKs—specifically at battery information collectors’ connectors, high-voltage wiring, and other components—which poses a threat to the vehicle’s normal charging and driving.
Due to the complex operating conditions, battery PACKs are prone to external moisture ingress, making the prevention of condensation a key focus in the protection of new-energy vehicle battery PACKs. Traditional methods suffer from low moisture-absorption rates, high power consumption at operating temperatures, and inability to function at lower temperatures. To address this challenge, Voir has continuously made breakthroughs in materials and technology, and its innovative solutions effectively meet the condensation‑prevention needs of battery PACKs.
Voir Technology’s Technical Director: “Based on customers’ varying needs, we have designed two innovative solution products: for PACKs with particularly high dehumidification requirements, we recommend the Voir®Dehum-Ele solution. This solution uses an electrolytic module to actively dehumidify when powered, with a power consumption as low as 0.006 kWh, and can maintain relative humidity at 5%–10%, while its performance remains unaffected by internal or external operating conditions.”
For PACKs that are easy to maintain and require relative humidity to be controlled at around 50%, we recommend the more convenient Voir® Dehum‑Inf solution. This solution is extremely simple to use: simply place the product inside a relatively sealed chamber, and it will automatically absorb and release moisture.
