Voir Technology has launched the Voir®DeHum-DFII environmental perception protection solution.

February 26, 2020 — Voir Technology launched the Voir®Dehum-DFII environmental sensing protection solution, which provides de-icing and anti-fog protection for environmental sensing devices such as LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, and visual sensors, while also offering high infrared transmittance and blocking other visible light.
As the “eyes” through which humans perceive the world, LiDAR plays a critical role in both military and civilian applications, and its performance must be reliably assured. To safeguard LiDAR and other environmental-sensing devices from detection inaccuracies caused by condensation or fogging under adverse operating conditions, the Voir® Dehum-DFII solution enhances radar reliability by employing low‑voltage operation in conjunction with advanced polymer materials.
Voir Technology’s operating-condition engineer said, “LiDAR can accurately acquire information such as the distance and velocity of targets, or achieve target imaging. Condensation and fog are significant factors that affect radar performance and quality. Currently, regarding the Voir®DeHum-DFII environmental perception solution, Voir Technology has established collaborations with well-known companies in the industry.”
