Voir’s new energy protection technology has been successfully applied to NIO’s ES8 electric vehicle.

NIO will launch its ES8 all‑electric SUV in Beijing in December 2017. With its user‑friendly features and a spacious, comfortable interior, the vehicle has attracted considerable attention since its debut. NIO has been recognized by Silicon Valley as a global company valued at over US$10 billion. The ES8 is positioned as a mid‑to‑large‑size SUV, measuring 5,022 mm long, 1,962 mm wide, and 1,753 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,010 mm. According to NIO’s own description, the ES8 is “a vehicle that can comfortably accommodate seven adults.”

The battery pack of this vehicle incorporates a protective solution developed by Voir Technology. The Voir-EPV provides airtight protection for the battery pack, balancing internal and external pressure under normal conditions and responding rapidly to abnormal operating scenarios to delay and prevent further deterioration. Voir EPV helps enhance the safety of the battery pack while also fully meeting NIO’s stringent requirements for product durability and high quality.

Mr. Wang, the technical director of Voir’s EPV battery PACK technology, stated: “Our new EPV solution is the result of our persistent and ongoing R&D efforts; it is more efficient, more powerful, and more durable. Voir’s EPV protection products combine a long service life with exceptionally high safety—precisely the two key factors for extending the lifecycle of automotive power systems.” It is reported that Mr. Wang witnessed NIO’s official public listing at the Wukesong Arena in Beijing, alongside his colleagues from NIO.

As efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions intensify, many countries are striving to advance new-energy vehicle technologies, a move that encompasses not only passenger cars but also buses, trucks, forklifts, and other multi-purpose vehicles.
