Voir Technology has once again “upgraded” its millimeter-wave radar and controller protection solution to Version 3.0.

Most millimeter-wave radar products are mounted outside the vehicle cabin and are subjected to harsh environmental conditions such as wind and rain over extended periods. Consequently, these radars—and other radar systems—must exhibit superior dust‑proof and waterproof protection. Voir® has further enhanced its protection solutions for millimeter-wave radars and controllers; in addition to the original protective features, the new design incorporates humidity management to prevent condensation, thereby significantly improving safety and reliability and extending service life.

By incorporating a microporous ePTFE membrane that provides waterproofing, dust resistance, breathability, and pressure equalization, and by employing an intelligent polymeric moisture‑absorbing material to regulate internal humidity, the cavity is consistently maintained at a stable moisture level below the dew point. This prevents condensation and the formation of water vapor or mist, thereby enhancing the cavity’s insulation performance and reducing the failure rate.
