Lidar is the “eyes” of a robot. When operating outdoors over extended periods, it must withstand the challenges posed by varying internal and external conditions to maintain consistent, reliable performance; otherwise, it would be like human eyes unable to fully perceive the external world. Voir’s DEHUM-HUMER56 moisture‑absorbing material solution rapidly manages humidity in non‑vacuum LiDAR sealed cavities. It absorbs moisture when humidity rises and releases it when humidity falls, consistently maintaining a relative humidity of RH56% to achieve dynamic humidity control.
Lidar manufacturers must not only control the humidity inside the radar’s internal cavity but also prevent fogging and condensation on the radar’s window caused by temperature differentials between the interior and exterior.
