Voir SCU releases a mobile, highly flexible, dust-free drag chain with a bending radius of R20.

Release time:2022-04-29

April 22, 2022, Voir SCU launched a mobile high-flexibility dust-free energy chain with a bending radius of R20, supporting semiconductor and medical precision equipment manufacturers.

As semiconductors and medical devices evolve toward greater precision, higher speeds, and miniaturization, the resulting compact designs and constrained spaces impose increasingly stringent requirements on high‑speed signal transmission in mobile applications—namely, smaller bend radii, enhanced flexibility, antistatic properties, wear resistance, low outgassing, and dust‑free performance. The R20 cable employs a specialized thin stainless‑steel substrate for support, moving away from the industry‑standard approach of using injection‑molded links as connecting elements. This design delivers superior flexibility, tighter bend radii, and extended service life.
Voir SCU, model S-IL-PLJ020-C1, is based on key materials and material structures. Its bending radius is one-third that of conventional products, with a smaller footprint and enhanced functionality. It is the first of its kind in China and has been applied in semiconductors and precision medical devices.

1. High bend-life of over 10 million cycles, eliminating particle adhesion.
2. Dust-free, no outgassing, antistatic, and enhances equipment reliability.
3. Low-friction, chemically inert, and temperature-resistant materials for enhanced durability.
4. The cable is lightweight and has a small bending radius, making it easy to install.
5. Self-supporting design, with customizable specifications and configuration standards.
Chip manufacturing continues to shrink, with feature sizes scaling from microns down to the nanometer regime. More powerful semiconductors demand ever higher levels of precision and purity. Even minute particles can contaminate microscopic semiconductor structures, leading to wafer defects, a sharp drop in yield, extended downtime, and substantial costs.
Voir SCU offers microfiltration media, mobile cleaning cables, and a variety of sealing solutions. The semiconductor industry relies on the cleanliness and chemical compatibility of fluoropolymers such as PTFE. Leveraging the chemical inertness and durability of PTFE-based materials across extreme temperature ranges, Voir can deliver the purity required by semiconductor manufacturers, helping to produce faster, smaller, and smarter microchips.
