Voir has launched a new material based on graphite-filled expanded PTFE film.

Recently, Voir has launched a new high‑flexibility, wear‑resistant film material—Voir® HSWRM—developed using graphite‑filled expanded stretched PTFE. This advanced material is designed to enhance industrial dynamic sealing and can be applied across numerous sectors, including energy, petroleum, medical, chemical, and automotive industries. It helps manufacturers overcome challenges in upgrading product development, thereby delivering a more reliable, high‑quality experience to consumers and end users.

The sealing industry has long sought to enhance the overall performance and service life of dynamic seals by employing various materials and solutions; however, these approaches and materials address only part of the issues and may even introduce greater risks. Voir has developed a new thin-film material based on expanded polytetrafluoroethylene filled with graphite, which is highly flexible, wear-resistant, and exceptionally tough. When combined with elastomers through simple heat pressing, it yields dynamic seals that are chemically stable, abrasion-resistant, and feature a smooth surface, resulting in lower friction, extended service life, and superior sealing performance.
