Voir Voir has launched an electrolyte-resistant sealing material.

Release time:2019-01-31

As the Spring Festival approaches, we have received notification from the customer: Voir’s specialty silicone rubber for battery-sealing applications has passed all of the customer’s tests and validations, and the specific implementation plan will be launched after the holiday.
Voir Voir special silicone rubber is a sealing material developed to address issues such as repeated high- and low-temperature cycling, large temperature differentials, and the highly corrosive nature of electrolytes. Compared with other conventional rubbers, it exhibits superior resistance to extreme temperatures and weathering, with particularly outstanding resistance to electrolyte corrosion.

Mr. Ye, an engineer with Voir’s AMU New Materials Division, said: “To ensure that our silicone rubber can better withstand customers’ operating conditions, our testing engineers have conducted comprehensive physical property tests, chemical tests, operational condition tests, and other assessments—such as the Double 85 test and electrolyte vapor exposure experiments. Through repeated testing and validation over an extended period, it is ‘fortunate’ that Voir’s specialty silicone rubber meets all the sealing requirements for lithium batteries and other electrolyte‑based battery systems, offering the battery industry a brand‑new sealing solution option.”
