Voir has launched a high-end, two-way waterproof and liquid-resistant breathable PTFE material—the TwoWay Membrane Series.

Voir Technology today launched two e-PTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane materials, the Voir® TwoWay01 and Voir® TwoWay02. These materials feature an improved formulation and an advanced thickness-control method, offering designers tight thickness tolerances to enable thinner-profile designs. The TwoWay series membranes offer customizable thicknesses, meeting customers’ requirements for structural thickness and reliability.

The new biaxial PTFE film material exhibits excellent water resistance on both sides and can be easily welded to various housings, significantly reducing application costs. It is ideally suited for sealing applications where both the interior and exterior of a cavity must be protected against water and liquids. Owing to the chemical inertness and other favorable physical properties of fluoropolymers, these materials serve as versatile engineering solutions for a wide range of harsh outdoor environments. Such advanced materials are particularly well‑suited for demanding applications, including the inner and outer surfaces of chemical, fuel, and hydraulic hoses.
