Plan Details

Voir® intumescent fire‑retardant material is an independently developed, innovative product by Voir that expands upon exposure to fire. When subjected to a fire, it spontaneously swells dramatically, sealing off and isolating spaces to prevent the spread of flames. During expansion, Voir® produces minimal smoke and emits non‑toxic gases, meeting the industry standard GA 161‑1997 established by the public security authorities (as verified by third‑party product testing). After expansion, it forms a fire‑resistant, high‑temperature‑proof barrier that protects other components or cables, thereby minimizing fire damage.

| Solution Features

· Expansion rate and magnification factor : It reacts rapidly to fire, expanding spontaneously by 50 times or more, and can swiftly fill even the tiniest cavities.
· Blocking effect : During combustion, it generates non-combustible “graphite worms” that are heat-resistant and seal off propagation pathways; it produces minimal smoke and emits non-toxic gases.
· Customizability : Supports defining expansion directions and customizing shape and dimensions; the material is flexible and easy to die-cut, and can be laminated with other materials to meet diverse design requirements.

| Core applications include
· Energy storage system : Installed at the gaps and joints of battery cells, modules, and battery packs (PACK) to prevent the propagation of thermal runaway from a single cell.
· Charging pile : Fills the gaps between internal electrical components and cables, slowing the spread of fire to buy time for evacuation.
· Electrical facilities : Widely used in power cabinets, distribution boxes, rail transit systems, and high-voltage switchgear, significantly enhancing fire‑resistance ratings.

Voir Technology can define the material’s expansion direction, meeting application requirements that call for fire resistance or avoidance of critical components.
