Academician Wang from the Southern University of Science and Technology paid a visit to our company and toured the membrane manufacturing production line.

Recently, Academician Haijiang Wang of the Southern University of Science and Technology paid a visit to Voir Technology. Accompanied by the head of the PMU Business Unit, he toured the membrane manufacturing production line. Academician Wang gained an in-depth understanding of the entire process, from membrane material formation to ePTFE material lamination, and highly commended Voir Technology’s membrane production workflow, process equipment, and on-site management.

Academician Wang has been engaged in fuel cell research for nearly 20 years. He stated: “I have been following Voir Technology for a long time. The solutions and products designed by Voir Technology have been applied in many fields and enjoy an excellent reputation. In my fuel cell research, I need proton exchange membranes that can allow H+ to pass through while blocking other gases, electrons, water molecules, and particles. After reviewing the protective solutions provided by Voir Technology, I am confident about our future collaboration. I hope that in the future we will have the opportunity to establish a laboratory with Voir Technology to jointly develop more innovative solutions and products that will drive the industry forward.”

About Academician Wang Haijiang

He is a Chair Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and joined the Southern University of Science and Technology in 2015. He graduated from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark in 1993 with a Ph.D. in electrochemistry, and that same year began postdoctoral research at the University of Utah in the United States. In 1996, he became a researcher at Natural Resources Canada, and in 1999 joined Ballard Power Systems as a Senior Researcher. In 2004, he joined the Fuel Cell Innovation Institute at the National Research Council of Canada, where he served successively as a Senior Researcher and Chief Scientist. In 2009, he founded the Vancouver International Clean Technology Institute, and in 2016 established Shenzhen Nankexin Fuel Cell Co., Ltd.
